A personal story after service

Find more clarity about what comes next.

Genesis is a personal-development experience for people who have done well but still feel stuck, unclear, or disconnected from their next purpose. I went through it myself. It helped me understand what had been holding me back and gave me more clarity about what comes next.

My experience

Success did not answer the deeper question.

I have been out of the military since 1992, and I continued to do well for myself. From the outside, it looked like I was moving forward. But I could feel there was more I was meant to contribute. I had not found the purpose I believed my life was meant to fulfill.

I knew I had hit a ceiling. I did not need someone to tell me I was failing; I was not. What I needed was clarity about what was missing and what had been getting in my way.

“I could feel that something was missing, but I could not identify it.”

Genesis helped me understand my past, see how my mindset was affecting my future, and recognize what had been holding me back. It gave me clarity. I now understand that I can move through that ceiling with the right tools.

Why I think veterans may relate

In service, there is often a path to the next level.

Throughout a military career, training, education, mentors, NCOs, and leaders help show what comes next. After service, that structure can change. Even when you build a good life, you may be left to figure out the next level on your own.

I am not saying every veteran has the same experience. I am sharing mine because I have also heard similar questions from veterans I have worked with through The Veterans Consultant, LLC: “I’m doing well, but what am I really meant to do next?”
